This short camel trekking adventure is perfect for travelers with limited time, yet eager to experience the magic of the Sahara and the essence of eco-tourism. In the afternoon, the journey begins on the backs of camels, heading deep into the desert. Along the way, you will cross hammada landscapes, scattered tamarisk trees, and golden dunes, while catching glimpses of the nomadic lifestyle that still thrives here. Depending on the season and the movement of the nomads, you may even encounter families who embody the true Bedouin way of life. Upon arrival at the sand dunes, you are rewarded with a breathtaking sunset before settling into the desert camp. Dinner is served under the starlit sky, and the night is spent in traditional nomad tents.
Wake up early to witness an unforgettable sunrise, as the desert slowly awakens with the morning breeze. Breakfast is enjoyed in the open air or under the comfort of the tent. Afterwards, the trek continues back toward the village of M’hamid, with the soft desert sand under your feet and the dunes slowly fading into the horizon. Arrival is around 10:00 a.m., marking the end of a short yet unforgettable desert experience.
